We rebuilt the site from the ground up on WordPress, structured around a clear customer journey rather than a static brochure:
- Supplier and partner credibility markers — trusted brand logos (NEFF, Siemens, Porcelanosa, Quooker and others) woven into the About page to reinforce the “quality local suppliers, unrivalled quality” positioning
The single biggest design decision was sequencing trust before transaction. Rather than opening with price points and floorplans, the homepage leads with legacy — the Cameron Hall Developments name, the landmark projects, the 50-year history — before moving into “Home of the Week” and live development listings. By the time a visitor reaches pricing and availability, the credibility groundwork has already been laid.
The buying schemes needed the opposite treatment: stripped of heritage language entirely and written in plain, benefit-first terms (“Sell Your Home for Free,” “£500 discount”), because at that point in the journey a visitor isn’t weighing up trust — they’re weighing up affordability, and the site needed to answer that directly.
-
- Legacy-first homepage messaging — leading with “50 years of expertise in creating North East landmarks,” explicitly naming the Metrocentre, Newcastle Football Club and Wynyard to transfer trust from the parent company to the new homes arm from the very first scroll
-
- Development & housetype browsing — a clear path from “Developments” to individual housetypes (e.g. The Cartington), with live pricing, bedroom counts and availability status (“Over 50% sold”) to create urgency and clarity for house-hunters
-
- Buying schemes as a dedicated conversion layer — Move Assist, Move Assist Plus, and the Key Worker Buying Scheme each given their own explained, benefit-led page rather than being buried in FAQs, turning “how do I actually afford/sell into this” into a clear next step
-
- Trust and process pages — Why Choose Us, Customer Charter, Customer Journey and an “Our Purpose” page, giving cautious buyers the reassurance layer a major purchase decision needs
-
- Appointment booking built into the core journey — “Book an Appointment” positioned as the primary call to action throughout, including an exit-intent offer surfacing special offers to visitors about to leave
- Supplier and partner credibility markers — trusted brand logos (NEFF, Siemens, Porcelanosa, Quooker and others) woven into the About page to reinforce the “quality local suppliers, unrivalled quality” positioning
